A San Luis man is in custody after police arrested him for armed robbery after he allegedly stole a pair of headphones and threatened a Rite Aid employee with a knife on Monday.

According to SLOPD, they received a call from several employees from the Rite Aid located at 1251 Johnson Ave.
The employees told police a man just stole a pair of headphones from the store and wielded a knife at an employee.
When police arrived on the scene, employees told then a suspect was in the store looking at headphones. One of the employees saw the suspect attempting to cut open the package with a knife. The package had an attached security device. The employee thought the man was just trying to see if the headphones fit.
When the employee asked the suspect if he needed assistance, the suspect threatened the employee with the knife. The suspect told the employee he was stealing the headphones and not to interfere with him.
While leaving the store, the suspect also threatened another employee with the knife and told the employee to get out of his way.
The suspect fled the area with the headphones.
Once officers arrived and obtained a suspect description, they located a suspect nearby fitting the description. The man had a pair of headphones around his neck.
The suspect was Douglas Hunt, 34, of San Luis Obispo, who was positively identified by store employees.
Hunt was booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail for armed robbery. His bail was set at $30,000.
