HAWTHORNE — He has no home, no driver’s license and no bus fare — but he has a collection of warrants.

W El Segundo Blvd

Bienvenido Daniel Castro appears to be living an OK life despite being homeless, apparently having a car and needing to get somewhere via Metro.

On Tuesday, September 3, at nearly 10 p.m., the transient from Hawthorne was picked up by the Hawthorne police on the 4200 block of W. El Segundo Blvd., an area known for its low-rate hotels, fast-food joints, and very few trees.

Castro managed to acquire warrants from failing to appear after being cited for fare evasion on the Green Line. He also had two warrants from El Segundo Police and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. for driving without a license.

It is being wagered that his next warrant will be bicycle- or airplane-based.
