DAVIS — When Davis police spotted it, the Ford Mustang appeared to match — in every detail — the car from which Miguel Hernandez, 25, had forcibly removed the driver and then stolen early one morning nearly two weeks before.
About 2:15 a.m. on the morning of August 19th, according to Davis Police Lieutenant Glenn Glasgow, Hernandez had approached the woman who owned the Mustang in a parking lot near the 1000 block of Moore Boulevard, which traverses the Wildhorse subdivision in North Davis.
The woman later told police Hernandez pulled her out of the car before driving off. She also mentioned that he was an acquaintance.
Fast-forward to the 28th, police pulled Hernandez over as he drove the Mustang down Alhambra Boulevard about a mile southeast of Wildhorse. He was arrested without incident on warrants, Lt. Glasgow stated, that included charges for carjacking, domestic violence, and intimidating a witness.
