TULARE – Police arrested a man on Monday in connection to the death of his 77-year-old grandfather.

Few details have been released about the suspected murder of Donald Lee Rowland, other than the Tulare Police Department having arrested his grandson, 28-year-old Rock Rowland on suspicion of involvement.
It began when the elderly Rowland was reported missing on Saturday. When officers paid a visit to his home in the 1400 block of Monsecco Street in the Del Lago subdivision in Tulare, his body was discovered. Police have not revealed who placed the missing persons report.
They’ve also not revealed the type of murder weapon, though they say there is no indication of it having been a firearm. An official coroner’s report remains pending.
This marks Tulare’s third murder so far this year.
