BAKERSFIELD — A convicted felon was arrested in Bakersfield on Sunday on various drug-related charges during a probation search..
Robert Delap was taken into custody and booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Central Receiving Facility in Bakersfield on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sales, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, felon in possession of an electronic controlled device and possession of metal knuckles.
According to authorities, deputies from nearby Lamont Substation were conducting a probation search at an apartment complex located in the 400 block of White Lane in southeast Bakersfield on Aug. 25, 2013.
During the probation search, deputies said they located approximately one pound and three ounces of suspected methamphetamine, a loaded handgun, metal knuckles and an electronic control device inside the 43-year-old’s apartment unit.
Delap is currently being held on $67,500 bail.
