San Luis Police arrested a man for burglary after a Broad Street resident found the suspect in his home.

Corner of Mission and Chorro

According to SLOPD, they received a 911 call from a resident who told police he was woken up by a burglar in his home. The caller said the suspect was bleeding heavily.

Police say when they arrived they found Matthew Faura, 21, of SLO.

According to police, Faura sustained a laceration to his arm when he punched out a window at the residence after a night of heavy drinking.

Police say Faura’s trail of blood led them to the many crime scenes. Eventually, SLO fire Department washed away the blood from the sidewalks.

After receiving treatment for his injury, Faura was arrested for multiple counts of felony vandalism and two counts of burglary. Hewas booked at the SLO County Jail and his bail set at $50,000.
