The assailants are accused of defacing property in the area of 17th Street from H to S streets.
Resident 20-year-old Mitchell Cody Rustin was transported to Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of felony vandalism, violation of probation and misdemeanor resisting a peace officer.
Resident 22-year-old Valentin Torres, Jr. was also transported to Sacramento County Jail with on charges of felony vandalism and of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
The partners-in-crime reportedly attempted to evade police, but were eventually caught at approximately 1:15 a.m. today in midtown.
Officers discovered markers, stencils and spray paints.
