APTOS — Acting on information from investigations and informants, the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team served a search warrant authored by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office and seized 23 weapons and 10 grams of methamphetamine.

They also arrested three residents of the home — 33-year-old Jason Michael Bowen, 33-year-old Erin Oneto, and 32-year-old Jason Andrew Neal. A fourth suspect, Gerard Siersema, is wanted by Santa Cruz County authorities and is still at large.

At 2 p.m. on Sept 19, members of the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team served a search warrant at a residence on the 300 block of Ridge Top Road in the city of Los Gatos in Santa Cruz County.
“Investigators developed information that there might be illegal items at the residence that were from prior incidents,” Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Kennedy said, “We are still looking for Mr. Siersema, the public should use caution when approaching him.”
During their search of the residence, authorities discovered a total of 23 firearms, 17 rifles, 3 handguns, and 3 shotguns. They also seized 10 grams of methamphetamine. All three residents were transported and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.

Jason Michael Bowen was booked on a felon in possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition with bail set at $25,000, Erin Oneto was booked on possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession of ammunition with bail at $5,000, and Jason Andrew Neal was booked on two warrant charges of DUI violations and failure to appear with a written promise with bail at $25,000.

All three suspects were released on bond. The fourth suspect, Siersema, has so far eluded authorities and the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Sheriff’s Office at 831-471-1121.
