Isabella Restani and Arnold Broden were arrested for cultivating marijuana at their Voula Lane residence
Warrants recently issued by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s multi-agency drug task force, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program, have resulted in the arrest of three individuals, according to an official Sheriff’s Department press release.
Wilton residents Isabella Restani, 63, and Arnold Broden, 66, and Los Angeles County resident Igor Petrovski, 46, were reportedly arrested on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, and charged with possession of marijuana for sale and cultivation of marijuana. They were taken into custody and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
Wilton is a small community south of Sacramento and just east of Elk Grove. Largely rural, it has a population of just over 5,000 people.
Igor Petrovski of Marina Del Rey in Southern California was arrested with the others.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2013, HIDTA officers reportedly served search warrants in the 8000 block of Voula Way in Wilton. As a result of the investigation, investigators seized over 100 marijuana plants, over $80,000 in cash, indicia for sales, possession for sales and cultivation of marijuana, two handguns, and one shotgun.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, the HIDTA program is a federally funded anti-drug program that enhances and coordinates drug control efforts among local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies. The program provide agencies with coordination, equipment, technology and additional resources to combat drug trafficking and its harmful consequences in critical regions of the United States.
Rural Voula Lane in Wilton, mostly home to horse ranches, was the location of the marijuana cultivating operation.
