Mendocino County-Covelo
Some people just don’t know when to stop. This was the case with Timothy Davis, who was recently arrested for burglary from an elementary school, vehicle theft, outstanding parole warrant, and kidnapping. It all started on the night of September 20, 2013, when the 34-year-old man was found by a curious female employee to be pushing a $2500 cart filled with $500 worth of tools from the grounds of Round Valley Elementary into a car.
With the assistance of Round Valley Tribal Police, the Sheriff Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate his accomplice, Shawna Britton, who was driving the escape car spotted at the scene of the burglary. Shawna was able to identify for the authorities that Timothy Davis was in fact the burglar that September night. Meanwhile, after some investigation, the Deputies were able to find that not only had Timothy just stolen from a place of learning, but he had also been previously violating his parole for which he had an active arrest warrant.
The very next day, following an unexpected find of his location on Biggar Lane by a Round Valley Tribal Police Officer, Timothy led the Sheriff Deputy in a pursuit to his home on Refuse Road in a white Chevrolet pickup, while refusing to allow his terrified 24-year-old female passenger out of the vehicle. His refusal left law enforcement authorities no choice other than to add charges for kidnapping. Timothy Davis’ inability to stop led him to Mendocino County Jail with no bail.
