A parolee apparently trying to avoid going back to prison allegedly pinned an officer against a vehicle on Sunday to avoid a traffic stop.
Clearlake police were attempting to pull over Daniel York, 53, for a minor traffic violation, according to reports. York allegedly put his truck in reverse and pinned the officer against another truck, then sped off.
Police pursued and caught him a short while later.
The officer, whose name was not released, suffered a spinal injury, broken ribs and lacerations to the head. He will probably spend a day or two in the hospital, said a Clearlake police sergeant who spoke with the media.
