A Soquel foster parent has been arrested for molesting two children.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 57 year-old Steven Weissman late Saturday night after a report came in of a 14 year-old male who had been the victim of molestation. Through further investigation, detectives were able to identify a second victim.
Weissman has been a foster parent for the past 16 years to several children. Along with parenting, he is also involved with the community’s’ youth activities and volunteers at local elementary schools.
Investigators believe that there may be other possible victims of molestation, based on the close contact that Weissman had with children.
Weissman was charged with child molestation.
