Huntington Beach police said an officer killed a suspect Saturday and that a firearm believed to belong to the man was found at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The incident, which involved two men, took place near Glencoe Drive and Silver Lane shortly before 8 a.m., a police statement said. The men fled and confronted officers, and the shooting followed.
“A handgun has been recovered from the suspect at the scene,” the statement said.
