SHERIDAN – On Tuesday, July 16 at approximately 1 p.m., Placer County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report regarding a domestic dispute in the 6400 block of Andressent Rd. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered 61-year-old Maria Bejenariu suffering from stab wounds in the backyard. The victim was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where the malevolent lacerations she sustained proved fatal.
Detectives arrested the woman’s daughter, Ana Maria Bejenariu, at the residence. The 32-year-old suspect was detained and transferred to the Placer County Jail on suspicion of murder.
The sheriff’s department describes Ana Bejennariu as having “mental issues.”
