Three subjects booked following stolen car investigation

EUREKA – According to the Eureka Police Department, a  stolen car investigation led to the acquisition of drugs and electronics as well as three arrests.  Police were dispatched to a motel on the 4000 block of Broadway to examine a stolen car in the parking lot.  While there, police interacted with Robert Tyson, 32, Casey Hunter 21 and Daniel Silva, 28, who were inside one of the rooms.

The room was searched under Tyson’s probation conditions.  Police found a considerable amount of drugs including 190 grams of marijuana, 25 grams of hashish, 32 grams of heroin, 63 grams of methamphetamine and prescription pills.  Also discovered were stolen laptop computers and other allegedly stolen electronics .

Casey Hunter

Tyson was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of heroin and prescription medication for sale, possession of concentrated cannabis for sale possession of stolen property and an outstanding warrant.  Hunter was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property as well as an outstanding warrant.  Silva was arrested on possession of methamphetamine and an outstanding warrant. All three are in custody at the Humboldt County jail.

Hunter and Tyson were previously arrested for selling Vicodin  and marijuana at the Royal Inn.  Additionally, they allegedly had methamphetamine and a gun.  The hijacked vehicle was taken to a local tow yard.
