Two arrested in deadly shooting in San Jose

SAN JOSE – According to San Jose Police Department Police Spokesman Sgt. Heather Randol, “On January 10, 2015, at approximately 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a call of an unresponsive person inside a vehicle on E. Williams Court.” Police later identified the victim as 44-year-old Sean Wolfford, who was found shot to death inside his vehicle. Randol said, “The Coroner’s Office determined the victim suffered a fatal gunshot wound.” (Other media identified him as Sean Wofford.)

A person that owned a Mercedes Benz said that they had left their vehicle and returned to find the victim in their car. The owner of the vehicle called police to report a deceased person sitting in the front seat with multiple gun-shot wounds.

The San Jose Police Department Homicide Unit has identified and arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of Sean Wolfford. Investigators were able to quickly identify two suspects who were seen leaving the area after the shooting took place.

23-year-old Brendon Quiles and 19-year-old Christopher Azure of San Jose were taken into custody on Sunday, January 11, and booked into Santa Clara County Jail for the shooting. Randol said, “No other information is being released by the San Jose Police Department at this time.”

Records show that Quiles has been arrested 3 other times within the past year. On November 23 San Jose police arrested him for possession of marijuana for sale, and possession of vandalism/graffiti tools, along with a probation violation. On September 17 he was charged with receiving stolen property, and on February 3 he was arrested for a forged prescription, and resisting arrest. He was already on probation for all the arrests.
