FORTUNA – A resident of Fortuna City, the ”friendly city”, showed some unfriendliness to another resident of National Nine Motel.
Fortuna Police received an emergency call from a resident of the motel on January 10th at around 1:45 pm. The resident reported that a female subject was threatening to stab a male with a knife in one of the rooms.
When the police arrived the first officer could hear the victim yell for help in one of the motel rooms. The officer contacted the two arguing subjects and held the female at gunpoint on the ground. After interviewing all people involved and the witnesses, the officers arrested Victoria Clark, 36 of Fortuna.
Clark was booked into Humboldt County Jail without any further incident and is being held for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and false imprisonment.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
