INGLEWOOD, CA—The relatively recently opened Forum in Inglewood has seen the iconic venue’s new owners, Madison Square Garden, granted quite a bit from the City of Inglewood: an 18 million dollar “redevelopment” loan that was forgiven, security cameras on the surrounding streets and the removal of red light cameras to allow for the heavy flow of traffic to move out of the city as quickly as possible after shows.
Unfortunately, little of that love was shown to Emily Wineberg, 25, who was arrested by Inglewood police on Saturday, December 13 at approximately 11:30 p.m. The Pacific Palisades woman was stopped along the 3900 block of West Century at the corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and just southeast of the Forum, and charged with driving under the influence. She may have been heading to the 110 freeway, which is leads south to Pacific Palisades, and could have just left “Night 1” of the popular annual event known as the “KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2014″, which was held that same night at the Forum.
The event, which has been held every December for at least two decades, featured the bands Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, Incubus, Rise Against, Bush and others. Ticket prices ranged from $75 to $150.
If Wineberg was at the show, however, her “ticket” will cost much more; for starters, bail was set at $5,000.
