SANTA MARIA – A 22-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning and booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on numerous charges relating to an alleged altercation after police responded to reports of a fight at The Rancho Bowl in the 100 block of East Donovan.

Officers were called to the location just before 1:30 a.m. on March 18, where Santa Maria two men were reportedly involved in a verbal fight inside the bowling alley. The confrontation moved to the parking lot, where Trayvonne Averon Mays allegedly got into his vehicle and used the car to strike the Hispanic victim, according to police.
Responding officers attempted to stop Mays’ vehicle, but the suspect fled the area and led police on a short pursuit that ended near the intersection of Bonita and EL Camino, where the man was taken into custody without further incident.
Mays was booked at County Jail on suspicion of felony evading, assault with a deadly weapon and felony driving under the influence. The unidentified victim was transported by ambulance to Marian Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries. He is listed in stable condition, according to police.
