Some lawbreakers never seem to stop. A 30-year-old resident of Redding, Jeremiah Jerry Murphy, seems to be setting his own record of arrests as he was detained for 11th time in the past 10 months on Tuesday, March 12.

According to the Redding Police Department, Murphy has been specializing in escaping from parole and not showing up for his parolee “appointments.” He was most recently arrested on March 10, with the help of a police K-9, for being a parolee and fleeing from patrol officers. RPD released Murphy from jail the next day instructing him to report to his parole officer immediately. As usual, Murphy did not follow the instructions and was nowhere to be found until Tuesday.

On Tuesday evening, the officers received a call notice of Murphy’s whereabouts. They found him taking a walk on California Street near the intersection of Gold Street. Investigators contacted Murphy on his walk and interrupted it with an arrest. He was booked into Shasta County Jail, hopefully for the last time, for being a parolee and failing to appear in court.
