30-year old Daniel Blair had been assaulted by a man, whom he referred to as “Nightmare”, on June 28, 2014 around 4:00 p.m in Redding, CA. According to the Redding PD, Blair claimed that he was looking for his stolen cell phone, as he went to retrieve it at a residence nearby. Upon arriving to the residence, “Nightmare” brutally attacked Blair with a battle axe, giving him severe injuries on his right arm and chest. Luckily, Blair was able to get a hold of a baseball bat and started swinging it repeatedly, until he could leave the scene and call for help.
Thankfully, Blair is expected to recover. According to the Redding PD, “Blair was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center as a “trauma alert” patient. It is believed he will recover from his wounds.”
Neighborhood where the assault occured
“Nightmare”, whose name is Shannon Sinica Sewell, is a 32-year old white male. He is approximately 5’10″ tall with brown hair and green eyes. He already has multiple arrests in his history for numerous violent incidents.
Sewell’s current location could not be identified, but he has most recently lived on Cessna Dr in Redding, CA. His most recent arrest prior to this one, was on June 12, 2014, when he was living at the address previously stated.
Sewell has not been captured, and he was last seen wearing wearing shorts with no shirt.
The Redding PD is considering Sewell to be very dangerous and encourages anyone to not engage in close contact with him.
If he is seen, it is imperative to call 911 immediately.
