CORCORAN – The search continues for two inmates who escaped from Corcoran State Prison Sunday evening.

Alejandro Flores

Officials said that 27-year-old Alejandro Flores and 36-year-old Isidro Sanchez disappeared from the dairy they were working at outside of the prison’s electrical fence perimeter sometime Sunday evening.

They were last seen around 7:30 p.m. during a head count at the dairy. Prison officials discovered two hours later that the inmates were missing. Officials believe that the two inmates got away by climbing a low, barbed wire fence.

Isidro Sanchez

Flores was serving a five-year sentence for robbery, and Sanchez was serving a two-year sentence for possession of marijuana for sale. He was scheduled to get out in two months. Flores was scheduled to be paroled in three years.

The prisoners were last spotted in their white jump suits with “CDCR Prisoner” printed on them Sunday around 11 p.m., but have not been seen since. Anyone who has information about their whereabouts is encouraged to call 911, local law enforcement, or prison officials at (559) 992-6120.
